T O P I C R E V I E WRosalindIn 4 years I have been to thousands of interviews but everywhere I've been turned down. They always said the same: You were very good but there were others better than you. Am I cursed or something? What's the point to know 2 foreign languages, computers and other things if I can't get a job?NoRainNoRainbows quote:Originally posted by Rosalind:In 4 years I have been to thousands of interviews but everywhere I've been turned down. What's the point to know 2 foreign languages, computers and other things if I can't get a job?Hi Rosalind, not a tarot reading, but this elemental thing with the normal cards, and your right about having the right basis for the jobs you apply, and being emotionally detatched in interviews.you also come across as a very pleasant nice girl...but the two things missing for you were air and fire...in other words, maybe you don't have a clear picture about what you are going to say and what they may ask, ans what the 'right' answer for these things would be.Also you may come across as 'unenthusiastc at times' which is okay...but you come across as the other extreme of those people who are only to happy to apply....just practice your words and have a clear idea about what you are going to say, and if it sounds like you are driven to work for the companies you apply to (but not too much, or then they'll just think your crazy)and see if this works....i see it mostly as a communication problem in the body langauge or the words you use, which is because you wait for the interview itself to think about what you're going to say. So whether you get the job always ends up depending on other people, (the interviewer and someone who reharsed all that getting it instead of you)alright i hope this helped you a little, if it doesn't sound right though just ignore Rosalind quote:Originally posted by NoRainNoRainbows: Hi Rosalind, not a tarot reading, but this elemental thing with the normal cards, and your right about having the right basis for the jobs you apply, and being emotionally detatched in interviews.you also come across as a very pleasant nice girl...but the two things missing for you were air and fire...in other words, maybe you don't have a clear picture about what you are going to say and what they may ask, ans what the 'right' answer for these things would be.Also you may come across as 'unenthusiastc at times' which is okay...but you come across as the other extreme of those people who are only to happy to apply....just practice your words and have a clear idea about what you are going to say, and if it sounds like you are driven to work for the companies you apply to (but not too much, or then they'll just think your crazy)and see if this works....i see it mostly as a communication problem in the body langauge or the words you use, which is because you wait for the interview itself to think about what you're going to say. Quite weird in my opinion. It was in English and the woman said that will be also a language test. I said OK. Today she emailed me and told me that I was rejected because others were better than me. Oh, my mother is probably very happy because of my misfortune. She knows that if I find a job, she cannot control my life anymore. And the money from the welfare. The only thing I can do now... is cry. Nobody seems to want me. Not as a employee, as a friend, lover, nothing.NoRainNoRainbowsdon't think like that Rosalind....challenges happen all the time, and it is okay to feel down by them, but try to see this as clues being left for the next interview.the fact that she bothered replying means she did see something good in you, as usually when they don't want to hire they just ignore you...start practicing what you think you may be asked, and research what the best answer is...what other people think is there problem really, for now just look out for yourself...and dont let some random interview lady cause all that feeling in you!!Rosalind quote:Originally posted by NoRainNoRainbows:don't think like that Rosalind....challenges happen all the time, and it is okay to feel down by them, but try to see this as clues being left for the next interview.the fact that she bothered replying means she did see something good in you, as usually when they don't want to hire they just ignore you...start practicing what you think you may be asked, and research what the best answer is...what other people think is there problem really, for now just look out for yourself...and dont let some random interview lady cause all that feeling in you!!By replying means that she HAD to do that. Politeness is part of the job. Its not like we are living in a world where everyone sees the good in everyone.SpritualjourneyHi Rosalind, are you still looking for advice/info? Have you tried taking a different approach/perspective to applying for a job? What I mean is 1) do you really 100% want a job, or is there a part of you that perhaps doesn't. Here's an exercise I learned a while back that may help: Ask yourself what % of you wants a job...whats the first # that popped in your head? You might be surprised with the answer. If its not 100%, then try to meditate on why & then release anything that that's holding you back. 2. Trust that you will get a job, the right job for you. It's seems that you have been looking for quite some time now & are probably "exhausted". Rejuvenate yourself. Go into your next interview not because it's just another potential job, but find one that you are passionate about. This will come across during your interview. What are your talents? Be creative & search or create a job that allows you to use your talent. If you'd like an actual reading, I can do one for you too.Rosalind quote:Originally posted by Spritualjourney:Hi Rosalind, are you still looking for advice/info? I'm not interested in getting a job for career growth. I am a writer. That is my passion and thats what I want to do in life. But where i was born, making a living of writing is impossible. In Tourism I can't get a job because I have no experience. Where I live getting a job in my condition is impossible. Employers only mock me and make me waste my time with no purpose. They don't want to hire me. It's obviously a strength for you and I for one am interested in whatever you say. Best wishes. RunAroundScreamingI recommend going to Sacred Divine Love Reunite on liveperson.
